Mission Statement

Mount Diablo Solano Oncology Group is a private practice that has been providing compassionate and state-of-the-art care to patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses for nearly forty years. We work hard to build a patient-friendly environment.

We understand that when a patient is diagnosed with cancer or a serious blood disorder, he/she begins a complex journey. Many questions arise: Why me? Why now? What am I going to do? What does this mean? Can I keep working? Who is going to help me? How can I afford medical care? Will I feel sick? Because we have been taking care of cancer patients for many years, we intimately understand these issues and many others. Each of our employees, from the front desk to the financial desk, strives to support each patient through this difficult time. At Mount Diablo Solano Oncology Group, we are passionate about patient care and we care deeply about our patients.

Our Services

We currently see patients in several locations in the East Bay and Solano County. We offer chemotherapy, biologic therapy, growth factors, and molecularly-targeted agents and we are well-equipped to support patients through these therapies.

Our physicians regularly attend and participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards in order to provide our patients the expertise of the John Muir and Sutter Solano oncology communities. Our patients have the opportunity to participate in national, cooperative group clinical trials that are sponsored by John Muir and Sutter Solano. We are a committed part of a comprehensive approach to cancer care.

Our Dedication

Every year there are new medications available to treat cancer and to control symptoms. These successes are very rewarding when treating patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses. Because the fields of hematology and oncology are continually changing, we believe it is important for our physicians and nurses to keep current on the most advanced technologies for treating these diseases.

Our Affiliations

We are proud we have been intimately associated with the John Muir Cancer Institute, formerly called Mount Diablo Regional Cancer Center, since its inception nearly 30 years ago. And, we are equally proud to be associated with the Sutter Solano Cancer Center since its beginning in 2002. Working very closely with John Muir and Sutter Solano radiation oncologists, we provide state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer care.
